Indie Beer Cymru 2025 Winner

  • by

What a weekend! We’ve just returned from the Indie Beer Cymru festival in Haverfordwest, and we’re buzzing. It was a massive honour to be part of the first-ever event of its kind, and a genuine celebration of what makes Welsh independent brewing so special.

As a multi-award-winning brewery, we know a thing or two about the passion and dedication that goes into a truly great beer. From our humble beginnings, we’ve always strived to create something unique, with a focus on quality and flavour that sets us apart. Indie Beer Cymru, organised by the Welsh brewers from SIBA, is all about that very same ethos. It’s a platform to showcase the best of the best from breweries not tied to the big, global corporations. It’s about supporting real people making real beer.

The festival itself was fantastic. We loved seeing so many faces, both familiar and new, coming together to appreciate the incredible variety of beers on offer. From traditional cask ales to cutting-edge IPAs and stouts, there was something for everyone, and of course, it was an immense privilege to see some of our very own creations on the taps.

The atmosphere was electric, but the real highlight for us was the Indie Beer Awards Cymru judging that took place just before the festival. We’re beyond proud to announce that we brought home four awards! Our “Play Dead“, a monster 9.4% Belgian Tripel, took home the Gold in its category, and our “24 in Dog Years” and “Old Dog, New Tricks” nabbed a Silver, followed closely by “Silent Whistle” with the Bronze. We’re chuffed to bits that all the beers we entered got a medal.

This event is more than just a festival; it’s a statement. It proves that the Welsh brewing scene is thriving, innovative, and ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the UK. We were delighted to see such a strong turnout and so many people discovering the incredible variety and quality that our nation has to offer.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us and the other breweries. Your support means the world and allows us to continue doing what we love: making great beer for great people. We’re already looking forward to next year, and in the meantime, we’ll be busy in the brewery, working on new and exciting brews for you to try.
